Stay Home On Friday This Summer

Here is an interesting fact. The most dangerous time to be on the road in the summer is Friday.
Why is that?
For one thing more people are out driving in the summer. This increases on Friday.
The weather is better in the summer then it is in the winter. The roads are better as well.
Here is another thing to consider. It stays lighter longer in the summer thanks to daylight savings time. People are going to be out driving later.
For another thing people drink and drive and they do it starting on the weekend. According to National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) 36 fatalities occurred per day on average in the United States as a result of crashes involving an alcohol-impaired driver.
It may not always be reasonable to think you're going to stay home on Friday during the summer. After all, the same reasons that more people are driving could apply to you as well.
We all want to be outside enjoying ourselves when the weather is nicer and the days stay lighter longer. Maybe you could adjust how you take advantage of this on a Friday.
Stay close to home and avoid being on the road during peak driving hours for your own safety.
